No, IONA's CORBA products will not behave any differently because of the new daylight savings dates. All of IONA's CORBA products are compatible with backwards-compatible patches to supporting JDKs and OSs. As with the usual changes to date or time settings, caution is advised. Timestamps in log files will be affected during the time change but this is no different than any other year. Additionally it is possible that any requests being processed when the hour changes may timeout, or have their timeout extended by 1 hour. This is true with the current daylight savings time, as well as the new time changes in 2007.

Orbacus 4.x and above, Orbix 6 and above, and Orbix 3.3 SP5 and above have no dependency on third-party software known to have DST issues.  Older versions of Orbix did utilize RogueWave tools but only within the IFR service and the utilities necessary populate the IFR with IDL information.  However, the IFR and corresponding utilities did not make use of time/date functionality so they should not be affected.  No other libraries or services contained this dependency and should operate normally with vendor recommended patches applied.
