Since the early 1990's, IONA has built its integration products around two very significant open industry standards, initially CORBA and more recently Web services, using service-oriented architecture (SOA) to design and implement large-scale computing systems.
IONA has extended it's leadership by sponsoring many open source projects, such as Apache CXF in incubation as well as plays a leadership role in the Eclipse Foundation SOA Tooling Platform (STP) Project. IONA is making its collected data and experience available through a variety of informative materials.
