International Experts to Provide Italian Consultants and Enterprises Training on Advanced E-Business Technologies

Milano, Italy - June 27, 2001 - IONA®, the leading e-Business Platform provider for Total Business Integration™ (NASDAQ: IONA), today announced the opening of the IONA E-business Education Centre in Ivrea, Italy.

Located in the province of Torino, the Ivrea centre provides customers hands-on classes, workshops and seminars on advanced technologies and technology standards, focusing on the development and deployment of solutions based on EJB/J2EE, XML, CORBA, UML and Model Driven Architecture. IONA's new Italian E-Business Education Center is the company's fourth such center in Europe, and joins IONA's existing education network of offices in Ireland, England and Germany to help customers implement complex solutions for Total Business Integration through training and mentoring programs.
