Technology-leading iPortal Application Server 3.0 to be Deployed with DataChannel Server (DCS); DataChannel to be Premier Provider of Enterprise Portal Platform for IONA

Under the terms of the agreement, DataChannel will integrate its flagship product, DataChannel Server, (DCS) with IONA's iPortal™ Application Server 3.0. DataChannel's market leading enterprise portal platform supports iPortal Application Server 3.0 today, and will deploy on iPortal Application Server in future releases. In addition, IONA announced that it has signed a reselling relationship with DataChannel.

The IONA and DataChannel alliance offers organizations a robust, highly scalable enterprise portal solution that can be deployed more easily and quickly. By reducing the time and expenses required to integrate information and business processes between enterprise systems, IONA and DataChannel customers will increase profitability and improve efficiency across their organizations

The iPortal Application Server 3.0 combines strict J2EE standard conformance and unique Extreme Programming features with application integration and Web services generation tools to provide unparalleled usability, flexibility and reliability for enterprise applications. DCS provides a feature rich platform for publishing, sharing, notifying and updating information.
