BANK OF MONTREAL SELECTS IONAS iPORTAL SUITE
Leading Canadian Bank Implements IONAs Middleware Infrastructure for Systems Integration and Extended E-Business
Waltham, MA. - October 18, 2000 -- IONA®, the Enterprise Portal Company™ (NASDAQ: IONA), today announced that Bank of Montreal has chosen IONAs iPortal Suite™ for their enterprise-wide application integration.
Bank of Montreal is implementing IONAs iPortal Suite as the software platform to support the integration of customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning and data-management applications including those running on the AIX™, Solaris™, Windows NT™ and IBM™ OS/390 computing platforms. Utilizing IONAs Orbix 2000™ and iPortal OS/390 Server™, the Bank will develop a flexible, scalable platform that enables the aggregation of back-end applications and the development of new web-based business processes. Bank of Montreal has also chosen to establish Orbix 2000 as its standard middleware infrastructure.
